Interview with Joshi Schaschl from Longplay Park OBERTAUERN

Short designer history and which features do you still ride: I ride all the features: Kicker, rails and boxes
Short snow park history: In 2003 the Longplay park came to Obertauern. There are lots of new featurs and ideas eversince. Many riders like the special terrain which enables to ride long and nice lines
Park sponsors: ATOMIC, BLUE TOMATO, ACG, BARTS, OBERTAUERN
Shaper Crew: Headshaper Joshi Schaschl with approx. 30 hours per week, Shaper: Steve Pressler (40 hours pw), Andreas Perner (30 hours pw), Wolfgang Hollerer (30 hours pw)
Cat shaping hours per season: 800  - 1.000 hours
Park terrain location and earth forms: The park is about 1,5 km long. Each run varies. There are several lines, 3 kicker and a corner
Park philosophy: Long-Playing in the park!
Percentage of park areas: Pro 20%, 70% Public, 10% Beginner. There are no separated lines. You can ride each obstacle in the upper part. The box-rail-line consists of several rails and boxes and allows different variations
The importance of a Pro area: `Make it funny for Pro-riders too` `See that you get some media-coverage`. `Let´s show the people what is possible with big kickers`

Shape and style of the obstacles: safe and nice obstacles which give you space for individual lines, 1 big kicker (16m), 3 medium-sized kicker (6-12m)
Beginner rails and boxes: Rainbow-Rail, Straight-Box (4m), Straight-Rail (4m)
New rails and boxes: Kinked-Down-Box (10m long, 1m high)!!!!
Shape and style of the rails and boxes: 3 Straight-Boxes (jede 4m). Set up can varyl!!! C-Box (6m), 1 Staight-Box (9m, 1,5m high),  Powerade A-Frame-Box (11m), Whoopdidoo-Box (6m), 2 Rainbow-Rails (5m),  2 Straight-Rails (4m each), 1 Down-Rail (8m),1 Rail (6m) ,  Wallride (4x5m)
New snow obstacles, lines or projects: big kicker (16m), double kinked down box
Planned park modification or changes later in the season: There are modifications depending on the snow-conditions to keep the set-up funny at all times. Every week there are new obstacles 
Top nationalities: AUT, GER, CZ
How many people: 50 -200 riders per day
Safety precautions and inventions: bilingual warning-signs, wear protection-gear!
How about a (super)pipe: Unfortunately we don´t have a pipe
Any epic or crazy event in the past season: The contest is pretty crazy and wicked every year!
