Interview with Guillaume Soulage from the Snowparks in RISOUL

Park sponsors: NITRO, DAKINE, GIRO, UFO
Which features do you still ride in your park? The pipe, medium kickers, spines
Short snow-park history: After we had one of the first snowparks in France and after 10 years under the name of `surfland`, the park´s being removed on 3 different locations.
Shapers crew: Currently 2 people but probably 4 for the upcoming (this!) season. We work about 45h/week.
Park philosophy: To have fun however your level is, to have respect for the other riders and for the mountain.
Park terrains location: 3 locations: 1 on the front-snow (1.900m), 1 at the top of  the resort (2.000m) and one on the slope area at 2.600m.
Top 3 nationalities: BL, NL, FRA
Can you tell us a bit about the three different zones? The Beginner Park  is oriented West. One park with a pipe an a superpipe - both earthformed and heading North. Finally a medium/expert zone (80% medium, 20% expert)
Shape and style of the snow obstacles: Progressive kickers
Any planned modifications within the season: Theh park changes according to the snowfall, at least twice during the season
Local Pros: Mathieu Imbert, Aluan Ricciardi
The importance of a Pro area: For getting Pros riding the park, because it gives the park a higher value and also the whole resort. We can organise photoshoots. The Pros create a stimulating atmosphere and it helps the other riders to get even more motivated.
How about a halfpipe? There are just a couple of pipes in France, so it increases the park and resort attendance. A good feature therefore a good showcase. In our resort many members of the local team have good results in piperiding so that´s the most important facility for their training.
Your freestyle park visions: Playful, polyvalent, adaptable. Miscelanous features adapted to every level.
